Hello Tumblr
Nothing to do again eh?
Just got home from Gracenote’s gig which is as I may say is “Malupet” haha. Also got the chance to witness Quartered, a foreign act from US, perform on a bar gig setup, which is extremely interesting. Two words. Kick Ass. Plus that local act Kastigo was one of those hair-raisers or should I say, hell-raisers.
Anyways, I am a fresh human being from a 700km trip around Northern Luzon and I must admit it was the most fun fun fun getaway that I have been on. Me and my bestfriend went to Pampanga first and got to take her to Angeles with us. :) We went to Pam’s place and hangout with the other guys there, boozed and, oh yeah, I tried puffing shisha which was something different and purely harmless. no nicotine no tar no nothing :)
The next day we went straight to Baguio. It was a 6-hour bus ride and my butt was like so much in pain hahaha. Imagine the torture. We arrived around dinner time and it was like so cold when we got there. Thanks to my stoked jacket I was salvaged. Hahaha. The next night we went to the night market and straight to my cousin’s bar. Unfortunately my cousin wanted us to play there and it was just me and madeline around. So we had to let Pope, her brother and Brian, a good friend of ours fill in the space. We were planning to play just one song just to satisfy my cousin’s request but the crowd screamed more so we had no choice. The set was horrible, I just don’t know how the crowd liked it. Haha! That night when we got home, we packed the tent and set it up on the park near the house that we were staying in. It was really freezing out there and we slept with a bon-fire on. It was my first time by the way. Haha. We laughed until we fell asleep.
The next stop was San Fernando, La Union. Poplularly called as “Surfernando”. Getting there was torture as well. Having to ride and ordinary bus for 3 hours. There we went for nothing but surfing! Oh Yeah! Everything was perfect, the sun, the sand, the water, the waves, the surf. It seemed like the world was on a full stop. Since I am not a fan of sunburn, I stayed in the shades until there was a good share of less sun rays which was really good because i was the least sun-burnt skin in the group. I got to stand up on the board in a really proud-mannered delivery “3 seconds”. Oh Yeah!
Next stop was Dau, Pampanga. 5-hour bus ride to Dau was a calvary. My arms and shoulders was so sore of surfing and my skin was kinda burning due to minor sunburn and the stress of paddling with the board was taking its toll. We went straight to our friend’s house, rest for a while and went clubbing to his dad’s bar at Balibago. Everybody was so drunk except for me of course, who is currently under a sobering project with the help of someone. :)
So there. That is the synopsis of my super compact and exciting trip around Northern Luzon!
